2007 G35X AWD fuse
There is a fuse :)
Hello to everyone on g35Driver.com
I was following this DIY to make my 'X' RWD.
To make it short, I found (due to faulty messing with wires) that there is a FUSE called ETS that makes g35X (2007-2008) an RWD.
ETS fuse is located next to battery (in battery compartment, under the hood).
The effect of unplugged fuse is that AWD light comes up, and car is fully RWD.
DTC is still working (you can turn it off), and you can do nice power slides (especially in wet).
After plugging fuse, everything is back to normal (after engine turn off).
Use at your own risk.... but for your own FUN

So, one more fuse and I think big smokey RWD burnouts are in my future! It's time to switch over to the snow tires, and my summers are pretty much dead, I'd like to finish them off in style
I can confirm that this indeed does do the trick. Turning the traction control all the way off on the other hand, seems to need another fuse. With the traction control turned off through the button on the dash, I was able to brake and accelerate at the same time and get the rear to break loose, but only for a second, as the power was cut off. Sliding around corners on the other hand seemed to work just fine

It looks like you are talking about the engine is cuting power off, while you keep your foot on the brake while accelerating.
I doubt It is some sort of anti-xxx system. This is how all cars behave. If you brake, ECU will reduce throttle automatically - especially with A/T.
(I am not a mechanic, so above is only my idea of how it works).
nismos.
