Hi All,
I recently purchased a 2007 Infiniti G35x. I upgraded from a 2004 Acura TL and so far I'm pleased with my purchase.
With my TL, I had a completely separate winter wheel/tire set up that I did not include in the sale of the Acura. I was wondering if I can use the Acura winter wheels & tires on my Infiniti without any problems. The rims are the stock Acura's from 2004-07. Here are the specifications: 235/45-17.
I think the bolt pattern is the same, but with the Infiniti tire size (225/55-17), I am unsure about issues that could occur with the odometer or speedometer readouts because of the size difference.
Can anyone shed some light on this? I appreciate the help!

If you look at the top, there's a big old search button. You will find many topics about tire spec and what fits our car.

Congrats and welcome. I cam from an 05 TL to an 07 G35 a couple weeks ago and love it! I can't help you with fitment, but using this handy link http://www.1010tires.com/tiresizecal...?action=submit it shows that with the TL setup you will be reading 5.6% fast on the speedo (it will say 63 or so when you are actually going 60)

I think the rule of thumb is you should be within 3% +/- of the stock tire diameter. Too large or small and the traction control and ABS could have issues, probably have some awd issues as well.

OEM rims will not fit , the bolt pattern is the same , offset is also good , but the center bore of the Acura is a 64.1mm and Infiniti is 66.1mm , it will not bolt on , even then , Acura wheels use 12x1.5m ball seated nuts , and there is no ball seated nuts in a 12x1.25m size for Nissan/infiniti products
but if you use after maket rims ,,, then you may have a bigger bore and they might fit

As I understand it, as long as you're not staggered, the 3% deviation recommendation isn't such a big deal. The biggest concerns would be that the low-speed threshold for invoking the ABS system would not be calibrated for the right speed, and the speedometer would not indicate correctly. Also, and IDK if the G has this function or not, but some cars have different 'stages' of airbag inflation intensity based upon speed, so that could be skewed as well. IDK if smart cruise control would be bothered or not. But in general though, as long as all fours are the same size (ridiculous donks or go-kart sizes excluded), even if they aren't within 3% of stock, then traction control , ABS, AWD, and airbags should work OK, with the effects of any amount of error in speed readings being relatively small and of minimal consequence. When you really run into erratic behavior is when there's a deviation between front and rear sizes of greater than 3%.Originally Posted by blnewt

Some great information from those more versed than I in this. Thank you. Looks like I'll be trying to sell the Acura package and begin the hunt for some stock Infiniti rims.

Bolt pattern and center bore would work but center bore is a different story, in addition to the lug nuts.
