thoughts in trading in for..
Don't let the bank influence your decision. I'd say ponder on it for a month or so. You may end up keeping the G and feeling glad you didn't rush things. I know the urge to change it up is there right now, but you may not feel the same way after a while.
I've owned a legacy and an outback and have recently driven a 2010 WRX turbo for a couple of weeks. I can honestly say that as much as I loved my wagons, I have simply outgrown the brand.
Expect a cheaper interior feel and obviously lack of features/options. Also, Subaru NAV is the second worst interface next to the original BMW i-Drive.
But if you have your mind made up, and absolutely must move on from the G, then my vote is for the 335Xi. Good luck!

Well the wrx is ligter and some say its fun to drive.

So yes, the WRX is fun, but ask any serious car enthusiast and the answer will most likely be that the car is geared towards a younger crowd...at least younger than that at which Infiniti is aiming the G lineup.
As a recent X purchaser - i was in a VERY similar position as you - my first reaction was to go for the 335xi - its hard to go wrong with the luxury, power of those turbos, and the AWD on top of that. It seems the only difference between our stories is $$$, if I was you, I'd be getting the 335, but i couldn't afford it, so i went with, IMO, the absolute next best option in the Gx.
I also completely vote out the subaru's for the same reason you stated. Older you get, the more they look like kids cars. STAY CLASSY!
just my 2 cents

I loved my 02 WRX and have toyed with the idea of getting another one... I haven't driven a new one but the 2011 and newer ones really look good.
335 is an awesome car but budget for extended warranty. I love BMW and am likely to get a 328 when I sell my G but a fairly large percentage of the 335's end up with issues eventually.

guys, test drove the 11 wrx sedan, felt good, had a good rumble due to aftermarket exhaust, dealer didnt wanna budge on the price, didnt care and walked away. It definitely was fun to drive, when you look at it it looks really aggressive, but at the same time... you feel like a little racer kid driving this, you lose the classiness that the infiniti and bmw may offer.
as of right now, its between 335xi/I/G37scoupe. yes I have decided to throw rwd into the mix... and if i do go through with trading, i am definitely getting a 6 speed FULLY LOADED vehicle this time around!
