Rear Differential

So I finally changed out the oil in my rear diff today and while I was doing it I noticed that I have a small oil leak. It seems to be coming from where the drive shaft meets the rear diff. Does anyone know what this is? Thanks in advance.

It looks like just a minor leak. I assume the oil I see is from the rear diff? How much is this to fix?

yes, it is diff. oil,,, this is a little techical to fix,,, thats why i was wondering how many miles,, if your still in warranty,, i am not sure if the pinion would have to come out or not,,, if not, then just a new seal. but you'd still have to take drive shaft off, and undo large nut to get at part...however i have never attempted to do this on any vehicle...

Since you're under 70K, then you should still be covered under the drive train warranty. Take it to the dealer.
