Suspension advice..

i found out that one of my front shocks are leaking. i figure i should replace both instead of replacing just the one leaking side. what do you guys think?

also, without changing the ride height (i have a sport), are there any good, cheaper alternatives to the OEM shocks? preferably, alternatives that would be compatible with the OEM springs.

Unless they were practically new, with very low miles, then it's a good idea to swap both the fronts or rears as a pair. If they are fairly high mileage, you might want to consider replacing them all, which is even better still.

tokico hp struts (aka tokico blues) get decent reviews, probably cheaper than OEMs too

Agreed.

I'd replace the fronts, or all four. If you're satisfied with the OEM ride quality and handling though I'd probably just shop for OEM shocks.
