Quote: ^ thats a good decision imo it will give the car a nice facelift and make it look more sporty
That's kind of what I was hoping for. What with the new styling of the Q50 coming out, I don't want her to look so "last generation" and all. You know . . . like how you feel when you see a first gen sedan driving down the road. (I just pulled up behind a 'doggie door' model at a light the other day) It certainly won't be current, but at least it will have a little more of that edgier look that's in all the newer styling. Since they aren't offering a manual tranny in the newer ones, I figure I better learn to be as happy with this one for as long as possible.

^ haha ya thats true no MT is a buzzkill for sure... I think the newer g37 Sports Front end with oem lip looks very nice and aggressive and as you said the styling seems more 'current' as compared to ours

This project is getting started today. I have a question. Are the parts from the other years in the 10-13 refresh the same in this application? Or do they need to be 11? I have the 08 xs with ICC and adaptive headlights btw. I am sure I will lose the ICC feature but would like to keep the Adaptive headlights. I am not about to pay 2500 to relocate the sensor. Thanks for the thorough list Shurik! Still helpin folks out two years later :-D

bump. I did the G35 to G37 front end. Yes it was hard. No nothing lined up. Everything was a custom job, all the way down to core support and brackets, ...
You do realize that you posted this in a thread about converting the V36 SEDANS, which is a totally different thing, right? The conversion you did is completely irrelevant to this thread.

I'm on the fence if I wanna come back to the G sedsn family or keep fixing my GS400.

If I ever come back man this is the first mod I want done. Love how it freshens up the look!

Quote: Alright guys here's some pics of the transformation! Some are cell phone quality, sorry about that! Didn't have my DSLR at that time.

Here's the difference between the old washer bottle and new one you'll need.

Attachment 214726

New absorber.

Attachment 214727

headlight wiring. That brown socket is your foglight socket. I spliced it into the new wiring of the new headlights and boom, you got yourself a 100% genuine fog socket! It's actually complicated then what it looks cause they made some changes to those headlight wireing behind those insulations.

Attachment 214728

my 3K HID foglight kit

Attachment 214729

painted my grille and fog covers in black.

Attachment 214730

baked my headlights

Attachment 214731

painting the housing in black.

Attachment 214732

Attachment 214733

And now the final 99% finished product of my major transformation with new WORK wheels =) Still need an emblem! got me a wrong one from a G37 convertable =( WTH!!!

Attachment 214734

I got them from eBay. You can search them up as oemassives or Akkon lights. Don’t know if it’s still in stock but here’s the link where I got mine. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Black-Fits-....m46890.l49292

Yeah Sal i was in your shoes as well. Just found good deal on headlights and grille and that got me started lol
I’m wondering what all years g37 front ends will work on 04 g35 sedan? I know a you pull it yard with quite a few g37s and I can do the swap for much less than 2400 bucks. The fenders are 60 a piece, front bumper cover is 30, headlights are 120, and the other stuff like wiring pigtails and little things are cheap too. The hood I think is 160. So for like 700 bucks I can have the whole swap done. They have all different years and a bunch that are the same silver as my 35. I already did a 6mt swap earlier this year. Finishing up some final touches, and I’m looking for those sexy g37 headlights and front ends with a lip and nice paint job. My g35 looks like it’s got some birth defect. First gens are kinda ugly. So I’m looking to clean that up. Then I’ll be looking for a tail light conversion of some sort, not getting away from the main topic. Years of g37 that’ll work on first gen g35 sedan?
