Known fitting issues with aftermarkets Body parts??

My X 2008 had a salvage title and was totally repaired before I bought it in 2010. The car run great since and had no problems whatsoever. The only thing that bugs me is this: I have a big gap between the hood and my right fender. I don't think this is an hood adjustment because on the left side the gap align and looks ok to me but the right is not as "tight". Also the weather seal cannot be fixed correctly on the fender like on the left.

So I decided to remove the fender to see if I could found something wrong. All I saw is a label from the inside of the fender: MADE IN TAWAIN!!
My car was accidented from the front and this clearly show that an aftermarket fender was installed to save cost... So my question is does this gap can be due to the bad fitting/poor quality of that fender? Anyone had a similar experience in the past?
Just wanted to get some input before buying an oem fender!

My Nissan dealer (no Infiniti near) said that aftermarket body part these days are well made and should fit pretty well like those OEM but I doubt it.

There are things aftermarket will be better than oem but body panels will never match oem quality. save your self the headaches and just buy oem.

i would take by a body shop maybe they can adjust it since they know about body work. i always tought with aftermarket their maybe some fitting issues but if it just oem it may be that it was installed incorectly. have u had someone look at it?

+1 for OEM quality.

Seen it time and time again. For me the cost difference isn't worth the fitment difference.

Aftermarket oem fenders should be much better than other aftermarket parts such as bumpers, etc... but nothing beats the quality of Nissan/Infiniti parts.

It's a good to let a body shop check if it can only be a fitment issue, if not I will buy an OEM fender for sure. I started my shopping and will buy it in USA because here in Canada an OEM fender is over $400 and around $250 in your Country guys!
Tired of getting ripped here!!
