Installed LED Fog lights/DRLs in bumper

Just put these in today, simple install and they are lightweight & run cool so I was able to mount them to the bumper. Only tools needed are a 3.5" hole saw and a 3" rubber pipe sleeve w/ included clamps. I looked all over for fog lights that would work as DRLs and these seemed to fit the bill. The Infiniti FX 35 lights I found seemed to have a similar bumper angle and the diameter would be perfect in the grill mesh. Luckily they did fit like I had hoped, here's the best source I found for these lights, quick free shipping to, got them in 4 days

I haven't wired them yet (just wired across the battery to show pics of them lit up), if anyone out there knows the easiest wire to splice into and the best place to come through the firewall I'd appreciate it. The lights come w/ relay, fuse and a dual LED switch, so I just want to hook up to a hot lead that only comes on when the engine is running, nothing hooked to a light switch etc.
I'll get a DIY thread when I get them hard wired in a week or two.

The lights are 6000k so they emit a slight blue tint, perfect for DRLs and probably intense enough for light fog, not sure how well they'll cut through the heavy stuff, but we rarely have fog, lol.

I'm really satisfied w/ the results, the overall fit, look, and light output exceeded my expectations. Hope you like them~

Looks good. I couldn't tell for sure from the pics, but I assume the front bezel of the lamp is bigger than the hole you drilled, and the rubber coupling is just used to hold the lamp from slipping back out the front of the grill. Is that right? How is the alignment angle on them? Is there any adjustability?

Nice job mounting those! The rubber/clamp on the back is really ingenious!

Pretty good deal on that unit especially since it does come with the relay.

Thanks VQ! If you click on the link for the light vendor you can see how the lights have an angled outer flange that rests on the outside of the bumper mesh. The rubber sleeve keeps it tight & supported from the back. Not much adjustability, the main thing is getting your alignment true when you drill the mesh holes. I just kept the drill level and had a straight edge coinciding w/ the beam path when drilling. You can move the lights a bit prior to clamping the sleeve for minor adjustment. I had the bumper on the vehicle when I was drilling so it was pretty easy getting it right.

Thanks Mishmosh, I read another thread about a similar mount but they used wrapped velcro behind the light to keep it snug. I've had to use those rubber sleeves for a couple DIY plumbing jobs over the years so I know they can hold things together pretty well
Yep, the light kit really is a lot of bang for the buck, the whole project set me back $90 since I already had the hole saw

Anybody know the best place to hard wire these (on a source that's only on when the motor is running), and also the best place to go through the firewall??

I've seen several that looked too small and these fit the mesh pretty well, but I always value your opinion Sal.

No prob, not every mod gets the unanimous thumbs up. That's about as far out as I could go before the bumper angle gets too severe and then you run into the washer tank, etc.

They should fit in the mesh, not sure around the windshield washer tank though.

They may look a bit bigger w/ the pics, they're about the same size as the current oem fogs in the G37 sedans.
Appreciate everyones' replies, keep em' coming
