I was backing out of a parking lot tonight and saw a car backing up and it was more then ok as far as front clearance for the other car to driver ahead... but she kept on backing up and eventually hit my car. I tried to drive off before impact but by the time I shifted to drive it was too late. I saw nothing had happened to her
es350 but took a look at my rear bumper and it was popping out on the side and I managed to pop/lock it back in with ease. I'm sure the minor scratches can be buffed out, but even before this incident i noticed the connnection point of the rear bumper is not connected tightly. Just to the side of the tail lights I noticed the edge of the bumper sticking out, and I have never been any type of accident before with this vehicle.
Wasn't a big deal until tonight lol

Should just have her pay for a professional shop to fix, I'm sure she'd rather pay out her pocket than have insurance go up

1. Heat expansion. Plastic expands differently than metal under heat and can cause it to stick out on the sides.
2. Bumper has been in an accident before and was deformed or taken apart to repaint even if it hasn't been in an accident. Either case, the bumper was taken off the car at one point.

Both of our Gs (07 & 09) had that spot in the bumper where it comes to a point under the taillights pop out more than it seems that it should. It seems like it should be more flush to the rest of the body, or is this just the way it is?

Mine is like that also, but I also had my bumper replaced. Didn't seem like a big deal to me so I left it alone. Something I should worry?
