So these are the left and right door panel handles which hold the door and window switches.

They sanded the rubber stuff off these door panel handles which easily flakes off and then had them professionally painted. This seems more expensive than I'm looking to invest. These handles look so bad compared to the rest of my clean G35. Any other suggestions to inexpensively fix these eye sores?

 

You can just buy new ones for cheap...I believe the new ones are redesigned so they don't use the rubberized paint anymore and they just went for plastic instead.

 

They are relatively inexpensive to replace, or you could just paint them yourself. A quick sanding job to get through the rubberized paint, some adhesion promoter, and a can of some quality (SEM) paint and you'll have a finish that will most likely outlast the remainder of your car's life.

 

^ like they said the new replacements are relatively cheap and are made of harder plastic for 08+ and do not flake like our 07s (i think they range between 20-30 each depending where you find em online)

I have an 08 and it's just as bad as the 07. Same goes for the plastic surrounding the steering wheel controls.

 

Early vs. late production date?
