How much louder would HFC make my car if I already have Stillen Cat-back and Gen 2 intake? I don't want a tractor or anything like that but if I can squeeze a few more ponies out of it by replacing the cats I will look into it.

I'm not trying to build a racer or anything like that, I've got a 1000CC Sport bike for that. Just trying to build the sleeper G35 without getting into Turbos etc

No problem at all w/ fitment, just bolted it up and drove it off, didn't have to adjust anything, the mounts going into the rubber bushings were dead-on. As you can see from the pics there's no excessive gap or anything off center, couldn't ask for a better fit. There's a bit a
bass tone around 1500rpm but nothing obtrusive, that's the only point in the rpm range affected and it's definitely not that annoying rumble that you can't hear the radio, etc. Just kind of a mellow bass tone.
The quality is very good, the welds top-notch. I wasn't expecting junk but was a bit unsure how thick the metal would be, the quality of the welds, how the flanges would line up and the overall fit & finish. Everything about this exhaust has far exceeded my expectations, and still looks same as day 1 after 12k miles, and sounds even better

The chances of you building an name g35 "sleeper" aren't very high. HFCs will make it noticeably louder and possibly rasp.

Hey stop crushing my dreams Yea Rasp is what I don't care for. I have yet to hear what my car sounds like from outside. I've only added my stillen combo about a month and need to have my buddy drive while I stand and listen to pure sexxxxxyyyy

I haven't been able to listen to mine outside the car under load either. All my friends say it sounds really good, but I just don't trust any of them to take it for a drive so I can listen, lol.

Thanks for the advice! I went over to MyG37 and they have 32 on the list already. Unfortunately they are only doing a group buy for the first 25 so I'm out of luck. I will try to find that exhaust somewhere because it is still regularly a great price. Any opinion on the best intake to compliment the Pro1?

Wouldn't hurt to get on the list, I've seen a lot of group by threads and a lot of those that initially show interest seem to lose interest when it's time to pony up the cash. List of 25 seem to end up w/ about a dozen that actually close the deal.

So I need to make a myg37 profile and then I can hop on the wait list? And what intake do you have?

That's it, your username should be the same over there once you log in. Stock intake on my G. My next mod is a Nissan BBK, VQs don't see much benefit from intakes (at least from most of the info I've read) but they do sound nice when you open it up

I would go with the stillen. I have over 20k miles on my Stillen, I loved putting it on the first day, and I loved it even more with Megan Resonated TP's. I think they pair perfect with each other and I continually get compliments from people asking what I am running.

*Edit: Along with the fact fitment is perfect for the X's it was hard trying to find exhaust that were cat back and would fit with the transfer case

There's sound clips in this thread, you'll have to do some searching, the last page on that thread I posted a clip of a stock G and my Top speed for a more accurate comparison.
