Need opinions Trade 07 Gsedan for C350

Hey guys before i go to the dealer and try to pull out this mercedes i got my eye on,

Do you think it will be worth the trade my 07 Gsedan Journey package for 08 mercedes C350 sports ?

My G- its about to turn 100,000k in about 50 miles away from it.
I got it keyed by a hater,
i got a hit in run at a store found out when i got home after
and lately my tranny has been acting kind off weird on me at times.

and C350 sports has 76k and with a trade in i would end up getting it for 26k out the door

My payments for my G are about 350 a month and with the cedes would be about 450 a month for 5yr, for me its affordable but what i want to know would it be worth it ?
how much more problems would i encouter with my G as more mileage keeps climbing, and i would like to know from cedes peeps if theres any downfalls staring at that mileage, i know parts are expensive and all but i think would almost be same as infinity just little less.

Thanks guys hope to hear soon before any final decisions

I was personally in your shoes thinking about trading my G for a Audi S4 or Bmw 335i. But I backed out by listening to my friends advice. Your G has about 100k and if you have it maintained properly you can maybe put close to another 80k.

Adding another $10-15K for a car that has 76K miles that might be able to drive for 60-80K more miles? I personally don't think, its worth the hassle. Also, brand new C350 is under 40k.

You could pick up a brand new 2013 Nissan altima for less then 22K. http://www.truecar.com/prices-new/ni...ltima-pricing/

I am personally going to hold up and let my car die out until 160K and buy a second car such as the new model 2014 BMW/ Audi S4/S5 or a Porsche Cayenne/Panamera.

Hope this helps making your decision!

Yeah thanks man it did a bit...

Thats what i have in mind also if i should own my G till the very end. But dont want to trow down money on mechanical issues, when i could have just own a car that wont give me any off that till like another 2 years at least hopefully but still lost would like to know more downfalls if its worth the backdown.

Wait for the new G in a year or two? Ask yourself if the MB has what the sold you on the G. The C350 is a lateral move with only a year's worth of mileage less.

I would first check out what the issue is with your tranny and if minor then keep the car and go with it... The c-class is a good looking car but I would be more cautious about something going wrong with the c-class at 76k then my g at 86k... Til this day after meticulously taking care of my g sedan it runs like its new and yet no irritating issues with the drivability. A friend of mine just bough a new e350 and my remarks on it is that it's a beautiful car but was surprised that with only 2000 miles on the odometer, there was alot of interior noise on bumpy roads. I'm in no way trying to make the other car companies look bad as a matter of fact I would love to get a Merc after the G but would definitely get one with lower mileage. Hope that helps!

When I bought my G a few months back, the first car I would looking at was an 08 C350 Sport. I love the aggressive look of the car but it was lacking in hp, ride was like being in a gokart and other functions of the C get disabled as well the Primary one was you have to pull over and put the car in Park to even change the desitination on the Navi.. to me that was a lil much!

I got back to the lot saw the G drove it... bought it! If I was in your position I would look for a lower mileage G possibly a few yrs newer

Yea, the new G does look sick! It has a BMW 6 Series Grand coupe aggressive look to it.

KBB shows that car being worth 23k from a dealer in excellent condition, 26k plus trading in a G (even if you don't fully own it) seems really expensive to me, IDK if that worth it since its not that much newer or nicer and still has pretty high miles.

Since you are driving an 07 G I would assume that your loan is closed to being paid off. If it were me, and this is just personal preferrence, I would not take out a 5 year loan on 4-5 year old car. If you can squeeze into something newer in your price range, i would go for that but otherwise I would stick with the G until the wheels fall off.

Are you in Canada talking Canadian $$ figures with kilometers ODO reading? If thats the case, a lot of what people are saying has no relevance lol. **** costs more in Canada, and 76k kilometers is only 47k miles.
