AC compressor?

Hey everyone its been awhile since I post something here. But this time I been searching and looking around because it really annoys me. Everyone who lives in Los Angles knows that our weather hits 100+ So My rant is Every time I turn on my AC it makes this loud whinny/electric kind of sound, its louder than our engine when idle and the electric short of sound when accelerating. (mine is 2007 g35 tech package 51k). I noticed this before but this time after searching around and find out a lot of us are almost having same issue, I'm planning to take it to the dealer since I'm still under warranty. Whoever had this same issue and went to Dealer to replace our ac compressor what did you stated to your dealer and what is the result after replacing it? is there anything else I should know.? thanks in advance.

Ive had my AC compressor replaced twice in warranty. My only symptom both times was no cold air. just hot air. I did not hear any noises that I can think of.

I have that too. Took the car to the dealer, they checked the compressor, said it was fine and that was it. Oh yeah, that was the last day of my warranty.... FML

Welcome to the Infiniti G.... that loud compressor issue has been the bane of this car for a lot of us.

Do a search, there's a million threads... I am on my 3rd compressor and after 16k its making that noise again.

Someone I was conversing with a few weeks back found the problem, and recorded a video of how to recreate it... whether he found a workable fix or not, no clue.

Yea thats me! so far i haven't done anything else to it. I just can't get at it due to the tools i have. I gotta get an impact ratchet for this job but funds are not available at the moment. once i get everything squared away i'll do a little update thread on my findings.

67k compressor clutch failed. Car is out of warranty, no help from the dealer. They would only do the job by replacing the compressor assembly. $1400 later...

Had the same issue and took it to the dealer while still under warranty. The dealer thought it was normal and did nothing.

Warranty work pay them less per hour than regular jobs... so they try to avoid it.

**** UPDATE ****

Took my car into SAGE Glendale inifiniti and they take a look at it. Before bringing my car into the dealer I turned on the AC for about 1/2hr so they can hear the noise I'm complain about. (took my car also because my driver side window is kinda sluggish and everytime I put all my windows down, my side will be the last to go down) They replaced the AC compressor under my elite warranty and just pay $100 deducteble/ labor price. So far so good the noise seems gone (for awhile).. Will update this if its still goes back.

P.S. I left my car there for 24hrs because I need to go to work. They gave me a loaner car, its a 2012 g37 with back up camera and sensor, NO nav etc etc. I would say maybe the car is not as responsive as my G35 journey/tech package just my cent.
