new g ...yay or nay?

So i have been prowling the forums on and off but now I have a question. I am looking at a g for 13k with 75k miles. doesnt have nav or the backup camera but i figure I can install those afterward. What do you think? I feel like at that price its a no brainer but i just wanted yall input. Secondly upgrade ideas? other than the camera and nav i would like to add some stuff to the exterior and performance. Apparently DE has weird tint laws but i may use my childhood md address to reg the car

I was thinking the EXACT same thing. I thought it was a typo. actually 13,8 but still LOW

other than checking the carfax what should i do? It is a long drive so if i make this drive then its only to pick up the car.

Was the car total? That would shave off like 5k off the original price.

It's seems little too low but depending on condition and maintenance required. It could be a good last minute deal. I found this 2007 G35x at Infiniti of norwood for under 19K, with negotiation I am sure you can bring it down to 14-15K.

Good luck on your search!

You need a printout of the CARFAX and find out some history. If she's a "Junk Yard Dog" you don't want her regardless of how low the price is....way to many headaches and eventual cost!

It could be a bait and switch. when I bought my car, Infiniti of Englewood in jersey put up a car listing that's 4k below what everyone else was charging.... I go there and it conveniently sold out 2 weeks back and they "forgot" to take the listing down.

They told me that the price was assuming 3k down. That brings the price to around what it should be. Hopefully I am the owner of a new G very soon!

Amen! That price doesn't seem right, and if you end up finding problems later on it's not going to be worth the time, money, blood, sweat, or tears.

Reality Check! . . .These statements are ingredients for disaster! You may be on to a true gem, but don't set yourself up.

Please, please, please, DON'T rely solely on CarFax to tell you whether the car is legit or not. SOOOOOOO much stuff goes on with cars that NEVER get reported, so Carfax can't tell you about it in their reports. Take the car to a competent and trusted body shop and then a mechanic if you really want to know it's true status.
