be careful, we're not allowed to talk about the "forbidden mod" here. looks good though. much cheaper than installing a pac-vci in the long run.

This is nice. I would love a front camera for when I parking forward and don't want to hit my front lip!

Total cost was $35 for the camera / wireless transmitter & receiver and $2 for a cigarette lighter phone charger.

Installation was simple, remove one of the license plate lights. And screw the light bulb into the new camera. Feed the wires through a hole behind the license plate. The power for the camera and transmitter comes from the reverse light bulb wire (orange)

Then I took apart the phone charger, removed the guts since it outputs 5V and wireless receiver needs 12V. Solder, tape, and put back together. In the arm rest, just plug the RCA connector from receiver and plug the phone charger into the car power outlet.

Results. Overall, pretty please with the result aside from the top couple of millimeters of the image is blocked by the bumper

Hey,

Can anyone who has got this light+camera confirm whether it fits the slot properly. I got this few days back and it seems shorter than the actual light housing and would not fit in the slot.
Even in the pic here, it looks shorter than the actual light. How did u guys fix this?

I managed to stick it to the bumper for now but not sure how long it will stay stable. Camera works fine though.

Raw

To the OP, Hi I got the same camera you have, a question for you; where did you get the backup light wire? right close to the fixture itself or when it goes inside the car (in the trunk)?
