Mini-review of BlackVue Dash Cam
i've been eying this cam for a while now. nothing in particular, but i ran into this site that claims that quality drastically diminishes after 1.5 months as shown in the first two vids.

Hmm... can't say i've noticed that in the vids at all. The only mod i made to it was placing a small strip of polarized film to reduce the windshield glare at certain angles/times of day.
Car having a ROUGH time starting in the cold
Now i am pretty sure i need a new battery and don't know if this has to do with is..but when it's about 0 out like the past 2 night..the car barley turns over but it does. Never had this issue in winters past with bitter cold

Haven't you been here long enough to know better than crashing a thread like this?

my friend has 2 of these installed in his s5: 1 front and 1 rear. its an awesome gimmick.
just note that it DOES drain your car battery if its not in use. i believe my friend didnt touch his car for a few days and his battery died and needed a jump. so if you are going out on vacation, disconnect the cam.

yep. u know how congested NYC is and how parking is a pain in the @$$ to find. so when theres a spot ppl will rush and be careless, bumper to bumper fit in spots they dont really fit. hurts the most when u return to ur car thats parked on the street to scratches/dents on a freshly painted bumper

But yes, any device running for extended periods of time will eventually drain your battery.
yea, i guess i should of mentioned in my original post of it being hooked up to the car power instead of the lighter. but regardless i think that is the best way. im always uneasy when i leave my car parked out on the streets. >.<
just carry a battery jumper in the trunk :]

Quick update, here's a recent vid, albeit in the rain. The blue strip at the top is from the windshield. There is a polarizing filter on this to minimize windshield glare.
So I heard this is pretty popular MOD for any cars... esp in South Korea (Being a small country with tons of cars, think NYC)
anyways, this is surefire way of catching "who bumped into who" and perfect evidence for any collision.
I have to ask, how much did it cost you? (just the device itself) and how difficult was the install?

Got it for $218 with expedited (tracked) shipping from Korea.
I went for the basic install which means just tucking the wire behind the headliner and panels, through to the center console lighter socket.
