Not supposed to be 800-1000 warmed up on idle.... either they didn't do an idle reset or the rpm sensor reading/dash board display is a lil off

I think it has more to do with poor resolution on the tachometer down there. Mine has always sat between the 600 and 800 tic marks, but a tad closer to the 800 than the 600. Crud, the width of the needle by itself is a good portion of the distance between the tick marks.

Someday, I'll pull my scangauge of my other car, pop it in the G, and see what the ecu says it truly is.

I mentioned below 1k rpm idle because even with the AC off, during the summer when the fans are blowing at full speed the RPM will actually rise up to 900-1000rpm on the dash. I've seen this in several G's in this area where the coolant gets pretty hot. Although I'm not sure if it's due to the power required to run both fans at max speed or not but that's what it seems.
I'll see if I can get a video next summer showing idle RPM in relation with higher coolant temps.

Furthermore, as vqsmile mentioned, the tacho is not 100% accurate. Warmed up with all accessories off, Cipher usually logs around 650-700 idle RPM but the tacho shows around 700-750.
