Road noise from Front Left tire

Road noise from Front Left tire

My front left tire has been making a loud noise from 50km/h and it increases with speed. On the highway it is very loud. Anyone experienced this? Check out the video for a sample of what it sounds like.

I can't tell what noise you mean. It just sounds like a lot of exhaust drone to me.

If you are concerned about one tire making noise, by all means, give it a good looking over.

The only time I've heard something like that was with these crazy cheap tires that my uncle bought for his wife's car a while back. But my money would be on a possible wheel bearing failure from the sound of it. I'd get that checked out.

The noise is coming from the front left tire. I read it could be feathering and something about adjusting the toe on the suspension. Anyone try that?

I'm on Continental ContiSportcontact 245/45ZR18's (G35x).
A lot of us have our front and rear alignment checked and adjusted (many lowered cars on the forum) and yes, toe is typically the key adjustment to preserving your tires from rapid wear/feathering.

You might try rotating the drivers side tires and listen where the sound is coming from.

It could be a bad wheel hub, especially if the noise increases as he accelerates. I had a very similar problem on my Maxima on more than one occasion.

Wheel Bearing

Had the same issue. Drove me nuts but once I figured out what it was, the repair was fairly easy. (Except for breaking my ABS sensor... that part sucked)

I hear very little on the vid other than your exhaust. Pin pointing noises on DRIVER isn't easy, only real solution is to get your G on a rack and check out your left front tire/wheel....Gary
