Engine Air filter
Do you guys think its good to replace my stock OEM air filters with the same or to get something different like K&N...my car has sucked on gas mileage (get about 280 miles a tank...all highway driving) so i figured i'd start to figure out whats going on by changing these..any other suggestions will help too (i love my car but its getting expensive filling up like every 3 days.) Thanks guys

I just replaced my Air filter's with the *Two drop in K&N's and there is a small *Good difference, you won't see a big gain but you will know that you won't have to buy another air filter for the Life of your car and if you are that nervous about cleaning and re-oiling them *Youtube is your friend or go to a local shop after an oil change they will more than likely do it for *Free.

You know, just stating "280 miles per tankful" isn't nearly as helpful as calculating the actual mpg you are getting. Is your gas gauge just off? or has the actual gasoline consumption gone way up?? The only way to tell for sure is to know how many miles you drove during a given period and divide it by how much gas was delivered through the pump handle. Referring to tankfuls doesn't account for issues like inability to fill the tank completely, fuel level sender or gauge failure, etc.

If ur all highway and getting 280 something isn't right..
Dirty air filters make a lot of difference... but not a 120+ mile difference. I usually notice about am additional 50 extra miles on a fill up. That being said, k&n personally scares me cause of the chance of over oiling.
Mass Air Flow sensor maybe a culprit, or there's a very low chance the sensor in the has tank could be incorrectly reading gas content?
Do u always get the same 280 or is this a recent trend?
