Coolant system capacity?

So guys, today i drained and refilled car, sort of flushed system, with garden hose, and had the heater turned up all the way to 90* with fan on about 4 bars, with engine running, then shut off, then start again, finally had mostly clear water running out both the drain valve, ( on pass. side) and also pulled lower radiator hose to get more out,, I swear though that i got more out than i put back in!! Opinions please!!! only got 6 qts. back in,, it sure seems like 3 gallons came out,, actually had quite a mess took undertray off to make it easier to get at stuff. I drove car 6 or 7 miles, with heater on, then off, then airconditioning on, then off, temp gauge stayed where it always does! So do you all thing i'm good to go?? also flushout overflow tank. car is almost 6 years old now so it was dew... actually the old stuff looked pretty good yet, allthough i did NOT test it for freezing strength.....

Factory Service Manual says 9-1/2 quarts including the reservoir to the MAX level. It also says that you should ONLY use distilled or de-mineralized water to mix with the antifreeze.

If you want to do a complete draining, there a two coolant drain plugs in the engine block that need to come out, since the block does hold a bit. Short of that, you can do repeated flushes with distilled water to dilute the residual coolant left in the block to nil.

yes i thought about that, the price for having a lowered car, is its very difficult to get under just the front, let alone under the motor,, i didn't know where to look for those( block drains) and gave up looking for em. i do not have a lift. had to stack 12 2x6's and sort of drive up on them so i had a little room to work. ah well,, i will certainly watch it, the next few drives.... thankx for the input gentlemen!!!!
