True dat!

. . . AND they do it all day long with drop dead reliability, under factory warranty, with a power output that would have been reserved for all but the most hostile, ill-mannered, and unreliable of race-prepped engines.

same here and the G definitely is a better drive. I had an 03 TL-S and from what I remember the accords and TLs of those years used a similiar if not the same tranny. Those trannys were reknown to have problems and failures. You should get rid of that accord asap

Yea seems like 2003 and 2008 accords should be avoided like the "plague" given tranny and brake issues respectively

Yeah I've heard stories when I was on azine. Mine actually never failed on me but got rid of it just a bit shy under 80k, I loved that car though . Now back to OP the accords at 100k I'd be scared to drive that for a daily driver b/c I know I was with the TL, never knowing when it's going to fail. Regardless if you get the G or not I'd say you to get another car asap before you're stuck with a tranny rebuild.

Transmission was only an issue on the V-6's ....
Brakes are only an issue if you can't adjust to it...

I have an 03, bought new, I have 184,445 on the odo as of today, no major issues....

3rd set of front brakes
Original Rear brakes

Replace Trans fluid every 15- 30 K miles (excessive yes)
Syn Oil every 5K miles
Master Cyl once (done due to dealer mistake)
Axles have broken all around, but I am aggressive on it.
VTEC switch replaced twice
1 Wheel bearing
A/C issue (common on honda)
Engine mounts & trans mount twice
.... a few more things like batteries, and other minor deals...

Never spend more than $400/ yr outside of wear and tear.... runs great.

Sorry I went off topic

NOW, for the Honda to G35 conversion, I did it.... great move, the car is amazing compared to the honda... and I agree with all there is more gas usage, but also parts cost more.... I am a high mileage driver so my driving while aggressive is mainly highway...

I came over from an 03 accord with 103k miles to a new 08 G35... i have had to replace the transmission and paid out of pocket for it... hopefully that will be the only major cost to me.. my wife is driving it now while I am looking for the perfect A7 ...

I came from an '00 Accord as well. The difference was... Well. Amazing. The Accord had tyranny problems as well, had it break down 3 times before it was sold with about 136k miles. My 07 G on the other hand has 170k and it's still going strong. I abuse it a lot too.
