Question About Vossen CV1 Rims

I'm looking at buying a set of 19" Vossen CV1 rims off craigslist for my 2007 G35X. Quick rundown, they are (2) 19"x8.5" and (2) 19"X10". They are brand new, in the box, never been used, just wheels, no tires. Guy is asking $1,650.00 or BO. Thinking I could get them for $1,400 range.

Couple questions:
- Do you think $1,400 is a good deal? I know everyone has their own opinions about rims and specifically about this make/model, but I'm interested in if this specific package is a good deal.
- I have a 2007 G35X that I lowered with Eibach springs. Please don't concern yourself with the staggered rim thing on the X, I've already looked into it. The guy says he bought them for his G37, but they don't fit over his brakes??? Says the bolt pattern is the same as the G35, which I've looked into and it appears that way. Without knowing the offset, it appears to me that these rims will work on my car. Do you guys see any issues with this rim working on my car that I dont?
- Any other thoughts/input would be much appreciated!

Thanks,
Justin

It's not a bad price for brand new CV1s. They go for about $2k brand new.

Although, with tires, they're also going for around the $1.5k mark, used.

If they're meant for his G37S then bolt patterns and chances are the hub size will work on yours (or, at least make sure he gives you the hubcentric rings, if not available just get them elsewhere.)

Your brakes are much smaller than those of the G37s, i doubt you'll have problems with clearance. Try to measure the offset if you really want to be sure this is for a G.

Thanks for the info soundmike.

I was just told the offset is:

Front: 32
Rear: 38

How does this affect my car?

Also, what will the 19" do, speaking I have a 35/30 tire setup, to the height of the car? Lower, the same, higher? What about the wheel to fender gap?

35/30 not much difference but with a thinner tire you'll have a harsher ride and unless your slammed go with a 35. To me a nice set up for 19's is 245/40/19 in the front and 265/35/19 in the back

that's not a bad price, I had 30F 35R on my 19's and I didnt mind it at all in terms of ride comfort .

I just agreed to $1475, picking them up this week. Next step will be tires, is there a couple brands you guys suggest? Looking for a decent tire that won't break the bank. They are just for summer, will keep my stock rims/tires for winter setup.
