Rotors and Pad Replacement
Rotors and Pad Replacement
Hey Everyone,
I need to replace my front rotors and pads, can you recommend a good brand/setup for the 08 Journey? Are OEM just as good? I am a day-to-day driver; no track or anything, but I do have the Eibach Sport springs and the Eibach cambers on both front and back.
thanks!

KNS has good deals, they're a vendor here so you might get an even better deal if you PM them

Yes we are here, centric premium rotors and the stoptech pads are all in stock, just looked.
They are a centric premiums are a good inexpensive oem type rotor replacement, it features the e-coating paint surface over the hat and in the veins to help reduce rust.
The stoptechs are a great street performance pad, good initial bite, but sometimes a bit dusty.
Less dust and decent bite are the Hawk HPS and even less dust are the Hawk Performance Ceramics.
I would recommend any of those to go with.

Gary is right, DBA rotors are a very good choice. DBA makes great high quality rotors, only downside is they can sometimes get a wee bit pricey.
If good quality at a great price is most important to you, you can't go wrong with centric premiums.
Now talking about the bed in process, I always recommend it, on all pads.

The stock rotors are soooo bad. I got a great deal durring christmas time for stoptech slotted rotors and ceramic pads. They are great and I needed new brake lines so stainless steel braided lines from stoptech too. It was a whole package. But Centric rotors are I think the same just not branded. I am pretty sure centric makes rotors for stoptech.
But you can't go wrong with any of those combos i love mine!
