fair price to replace thermostat, flush coolant, new radiator cap?

Hi folks, tried searching but couldn't find an answer...

I have an '07 G35 Sport Sedan manual with 48K miles. The last few days i've noticed high coolant temperatures (i drive very short distances, so it never got to the point where it overheated/boiled over) that went to the top of the Cold/Hot range on the dash gauge. I could get the temperature back to the normal range by turning the heater on full blast, but that's obviously just a temporary solution. The radiator fans appear to be functioning normally.

In any case, i took it to my local dealer, and they said it is a sticking thermostat. They recommend replacing the thermostat, flushing the coolant, and replacing the radiator cap. The total cost is roughly $420 ($80 in parts, $340ish in labor). They said it was a roughly 2.5 hour job.

Does this seem like a reasonable cost for the procedure? Seems high to me, especially on the labor side/estimated time, but i'm pretty mechanically clueless so i would appreciate outside feedback. Thanks in advance.

Well,
FULL retail,
Thermostat w/ Housing - $45.27
Thermostat Housing Gasket - $6.50
Radiator Cap - $35.94

so at full retail here, $87.71 in parts so they are about $7.00 lower than full retail that's probably about the norm when taking your car through service...
as far as the labor for the flushing and replacing all those components, I couldn't answer
someone on here probably can give a better idea on the price of labor, or how much labor it might take....

It's all pretty easy to DIY, and if you go with quality aftermarket parts, you can cut the parts cost down to a fraction of those prices.

Any follow up to this? My vehicle is doing the exact same thing and I don't want to spend my money on this if it isn't the solution.
