If you haven't changed the clutch fluid after 50k miles and you didn't like how the clutch feels, you may want to go ahead and have the clutch fluid changed.
I have mine done @ 58k miles and the clutch now feels more consistent, before that the engagement point seems to take a little guess work sometimes.
And I think the engagement point is just a bit lower than before.
I wouldn't say the clutch now feels great, but it improved from before.

Yeah, that's a great analogy. By adjusting the fulcrum point you get to change the leverage and the travel of the clutch through the engagement and that's what changes the feel.
I've done both the spring removal and the stack of nickels and while helpful, they were not as effective as the RJM AFP bracket. There is a lot more info on his site and a complete install guide.(It's mostly a DIY job).
