I know when the car is parked you can watch videos but everytime I play a video it wont work? I dont even get sound to play does the video in my ipod/iphone have to be a certian format? n I know the E-break has to be up

What cables are you using? And are you selecting AUX on for the input on the stereo?

 

It's probably the cables you bought aren't compatible. I bought a set from ebay for dirt cheap and had the same issue. I picked up a set from bestbuy and worked fine.

The one I bought on ebay looked identical to that and they didn't do anything besides charge my iphone. I'd recommend buying legit apple composite cables or an alternative reputable cable rather than an unknown/no name brand. The ones I bought were these
There are probably other compatible cables but these worked for me.

Quite expensive but if you know someone who works at bestbuy, it'll probably cost you about $10 with the employee discount.
