Aftermarket exhaust, how much muffler NOT to show.

There are quite a few theads for people in the market for a catback, but non mention how much muffler shows hanging down in different brands. IMO its ugly to see a car infront of on the traffic lights wit half of its aftermarket mufflers hanging out in shiny metal !

I almost narrowed down my choice to the stillen catback, but a pic i saw showed alot of muffler. Mine is a 07-08 sedan RWD. i read the stillens for 09+ is different.?

can people with stillens, or other brands i could change my mind, please post pics from the rear at reasonable shot heights, and also feedback would help. cheers..

ps: ARK sees to have the smallest, most tucked in muffs, but i hear its very loud . any arc owners ?

Paint it like i did. More than 2 years later and the paint has held up quite well.

p.s. high-temp bbq grill paint.

Stay away from stillen, bad craftsmanship and worse warranty

Forgot that you painted your exhaust cans, looks so much better, and now another thing I must add to my ever growing to-do list.
BTW Mike, finally got my car back from the body shop, came out A+.

+1 on soundmike's painting. I stole his idea and painted mine too. I've been happy with my invidia. One of the reasons I got it was because it was pretty quiet compared to others.

Fast intentions has great craftsmanship, same gains as all other exhausts, great customer service by tony and sound is very nice with no rasp at all. FI does have a bit subtle sound compared to stillen though so check out some vids on youtube to see what you prefer. Then just paint as per Mikes diy and you should have your dream exhaust

I have ARK and it is loud with HFC but if you keep stock cats then you are good to go!
