2007 G35S 6MT with navi question

Ive been lurking this forum for a while and im about to buy a 2007 G35S with a navi. I know that they dont have the ipod integration connectors in them and was wondering if there was any way to get one installed, maybe use the same one from the 08 model and retrofit it? Id really rather not get any of the aftermarket kits.

It will cost a lot, and generally not worth it to do so. Why can't you just connect using the AUX cable?

i wanna be able to control the song from the steering wheel and go thru all the menu's and playlists from the navi screen and wanna be able to charge the ipod too. id rather not have to go thru the hassle of the boxes and etc of the aftermarket kits and rather just have one wire to plug in like the oem.

Well, you may have to change the whole center console to get that input, as well as the whole radio system.

It may cost quite a significant amount, and like I said before, probably not worth it. You're going to end up paying way more than a brand new iPod Touch for OEM parts.

Exactly, you'd ACTUALLY pay all that just to have a little added convenience with your ipod?!!!
