Cleaning the filters on the Stillen Gen3 CAI
Cleaning the filters on the Stillen Gen3 CAI
So its been about a year since ive had this thing on, and have yet to clean the filters. i live in houston, so its not like its super dusty, but i feel like they have got to be extremely dirty. any tips on cleaning these things without removing the front bumper or grille? can it be done just by removing the radiator shroud?
It can be done but it is a PITA because the space is very limited to get the filters out.
1. remove the radiator shroud
2. loosen the filter clamps
3. unscrew the bolts holding the filters to the radiator brace
4. attempt to fish out the filters from the top only
5. clean them
6. put it all back together
I recommend removing the front grill which is how I normally clean my gen 3 CAI. If you went through the trouble to take of the shroud then it is not a big deal to remove the few bolts that hold the grill on...
good luck
