2011 TMPS on 08 Sedan?

Hey Guys,

I searched on the forum but could not find a definitive answer. I plan on purchasing a set of 2011 19inch g35 coupe rims with TMPS for my 2008 sedan. Does anyone know if there is a compatibility issue?

Thanks in advance.

they are not compatible.

i think Nissan/Infiniti changed the TMPS system in '09 or '10 so they won't work.

I got a set of anniversary edition wheels on mine, and the warning light on the dash came on. The dealer reset it for me. They have this handheld machine they hook up to the OBD II port and you must enter the vehicle information of the car they came off, not your actual vehicle. When switching wheels I went to NTB to have the TPMS light reset and they were unsuccessful, so I would stick with the dealer. It might take a few tries, but it obviously can be done. Also I think you meant 2011 19" G37 wheels not G35 wheels.

Part No. Change in 2011:

Looks like the part no. changed in 2011:

2013 G37 40700-1LA0D
2012 G37 40700-1LA0D
2011 G37 40700-1LA0D
-------------------------------------
2010 G37 40700-JK00C
2009 G37 40700-JK00C
2008 G35 40700-JK00C
2007 G35 40700-JK00C

Above part numbers are from the Dill application guide at: http://yourtireshopsupply.com/media/...DE(1)11-11.pdf
Sounds like SilmTV had success crossing the 2010 to 2011 boundary at the dealer.

I did the exact thing in putting 11 tpms on my 08 sedan when I changed my rims. Light came after about a month and eventually had to get a different set of tpms.

I'm having the exact same issue -

I have a 2007 G35S Manual I'm selling and I'm buying a 2012 G37S. I want to swap rims and tires as part of the deal (I like my rims better) but I'm not sure if the TPMS is going to be a problem. I called both my dealer and a tire store.

The dealer (parts counter guy) said "You have to swap the TPSs to make this work".
The tire store said "I can get you a generic TPS that will work with both cars, but the stock ones will only work within their year range".

So, unless someone else has better info. I think I'm screwed. Thanks!
