Starting the car
Starting the car
Hey a little background on my car:
Bought a used 2008 g35S 6mt with 56k miles on it.
I dont know if anyone else has this problem but when i start the car rpm picks up the slowly bogs down and then picks up again. So basically when i start the car if feels like its going to die but comes back alive again. Dont get me wrong, car is awesome but thats just been a problem so far.
Can anyone enlighten me on this issue?
Thanks

It could be any number of things; start with the easy stuff first. Do you have the climate control on at all when it does this? Turn it completely off to be sure the AC compressor isn't kicking in, either for cooling or defrosting. What is the deviation between the high and low level of the idle rpms? (It would be best to post a video showing the tach and with the hood up so we can hear the engine better) Does it do this every time you start it? Or only when hot or cold?
I can almost guarantee it's a dirty throttle body. Follow the diy posted here - do a search. Most dealerships wont acknowledge the issue, and/or do anything about it. *do not move the butterfly!!!*
I had the same problem. Cleaning the tb's solved it.
