Dang Heated O2 Sensor
So my G finally came up with a service engine soon light
took it to auto zone and the code was for a heated O2 Sensor Bank 1 sensor 1
I believe this is correct because i ve been experiencing a pretty drastic drop in MPG
Course of action would be to take it in to the stealership and see how badly they want to give it to me
Anyone have any input on this? go to the dealership? do it myself? take it to the nissan dealership?
Thanks!

I had that check engine light for a while (same code). I just reset it to make the light go away, as i heard it can be triggered by my old battery. but it came back after few hundred miles. i reset it again...same thing. So I finally just got that 02 sensor replaced at a indy shop. I believe i paid between $350- $400 (parts and labor). It may be placebo, but performance seems to have improved- just feels more solid. idk. but i will have to get back on the mpg improvement. Dealer quoted me around $550 parts n labor.

I tried the warranty route. but even with close to 40k mi warranty ( I have 45k ), they didnt budge. It's an emission issue. maybe you'll have better luck. worth a shot.
