Hotchkis swaybar owners, check your bushings
Hotchkis swaybar owners, check your bushings
Double check your bushings guys.
My swaybar set is almost 5 years old (I got in on the initial group buy when they were first released), and I removed the bushing last week to clean out the old nasty grease and re-grease with my new supergrease. When I removed the bushing from the bracket, I found the poly was really brittle and the raised lip that seats into the bracket was crumbling off. See my crude paint pic
, the red curved line shows where the bushing is failing.
Good news is the bushing is available separately for purchase from Hotchkis, a little over 20.00 bucks for a set of 4.

No part number for it, I checked the website and only found a few parts that apply to our cars.
I ended up calling them directly and ordered it over the phone. Same as last time when I ordered new brackets.

I would say it depends on the grease you're using and your climate.
If you use this grease (same as Hotchkis grease) Super Lube then you might be able to get away with once a year, but if you live in a harsh condition climate, I'd recommend more often.
When you're underneath doing an oil change, do yourself a favor and remove the bracket to check. I'm willing to bet that the bushing will be dry, or close to it.
