Weird Squeaking or Popping Noise
My car is making a funny noise whenever I stop or when the car goes over extremely small bumps. When it goes over large bumps like a speed bump, there are no noises.
In a parking garage, I an hear squeaking rubber noises as my car drives over concrete. Also, as I push on the brakes, right before the tires stop moving, I can hear a loud rubber squeak. This isn't a squeak from the brake pads rubbing against the rotors. I can also hear a popping noise. It doesn't matter whether I turn the wheel or keep it straight.
Also, as I let my car off the brake, I hear the same rubber squeak again. I had my shocks and struts changed recently but the noise didn't go away. It was there before and after the change.
What's even more interesting is that when I go to a car wash, the noises go away for a while, until I guess the car dries off. The noise will come back after an hour of driving or so.
I went underneath and sprayed all the bushings I can find with WD-40, but the noise wouldn't go away. When I press down on the fenders (either driver or passenger's side,) I don't hear any noises but when I press down on the black plastic in front of the coolant reservoir with the clips, I hear (and feel) the squeaking. This is odd because I have a feeling it could be from the bumper rubbing against something that causes squeaking.
Does anyone know what it could be?
