Rear spoiler
Rear spoiler
Did the 07 sedan have any option for a rear spoiler? Every once in a while I a g35 go by with one and I don't know if it is OEM or aftermarket? I might like to get one, but not a tuner looking whale tale, just something you wouldn't know isn't stock.
I think the best one to get is the factory G37 spoiler from an 09. It is low profile and replaces/covers the ugly chrome piece on the trunk. It comes painted and has a template. You DO have to drill two holes in the trunk lid though....like most. Part number in the picture below
You can order the one with OR without a camera hole. It comes with the mount to relocate the trunk release in the spoiler.
Shop around as the prices vary from dealers. It's more than some aftermarket but color and fitment is perfect....priceless!
I changed mine from no camera to camera and found a used chrome strip on ebay to swap the pieces. Haven't had time to get it working yet though.

FYI, for the 09' and up G37 spoiler, you do not have to drill the 2 outer holes. The spoiler will work perfectly fine without them, and that way it's easily removable if needed. I've had mine on for about 2 years with no problems.
The optional 07 spoiler looked like the one in the picture I attached. IMO, not as clean as the 09 G37 spoiler.

Just do it right the first time - If you like it, drill it! It's an OEM piece.
There's a DIY floating around for installation w/o drilling the extra 2 holes. The main thing is prepping the surface of the trunk to ensure it's totally clean of any wax or sealant before you tape it down.
The tape itself is 3M tape, so once it's on there it should last the life of your car. Worst case scenario is you'd have to get more and re-apply it.
