Earlier today I approached a hill with a stop sign before the peak. The roads were damp from the rain so I hit the vdc button to the left of the steering wheel. Engaged 1st gear and gave it a little extra gas. The car smoothly spun the rear tires for a few seconds until I let off the gas to regain traction. No noticeable bogs or abs interference. 82k miles. I've changed the gear oils in the tranny and rear differential last spring.

Being able to >shut off the nanny aids< is one of the main reasons I bought this car!!! But on to my question... Where is said "yaw" box located?

The real question should be: Why are you doing more than a 2 second burnout at the drag strip?

If you aren't using drag radials, a long burnout on street tires will HURT traction.

Just do a quick chirp of the tires to clean off any dirt/rocks and go race.

As far as shutting off the nanny aids go, it's not really a good idea. This car is NOT very stable. My old 02 Trans Am was so easy to powerslide (never had traction control or anything on it) safely. This car? Way too easy to spin out.

And for Triton3.5, if you have an X with AWD why would you need traction control completely disabled?

Under the center console.

I've found this car is pretty manageable to powerslide on dry and wet pavement. The only time it's got away from me is when I've been trying to be DK on snow and let things go sideways for waaaaay too long haha.

It's doable... just nowhere near as easy to drive as the Trans Am. I'm guessing the fact that the T/A is 5 inches wider and has a solid rear axle are two large factors.

I never felt out of control throwing the T/A sideways. In the G35.... it's quite easy to go too far. In fact I don't remember ever having to cut the throttle when drifting the T/A. I only tried it in the G35 a few times before never wanting to do it again.

Another factor could be that my T/A was a manual and G35 auto.
