Suspension squeaks only on hot days
Hello every,
Just picked up a used 07 g35 the other day. It was perfect. Yesterday was a hot day, 90 degrees. A squeak developed. Every time i brake, hit a bump, and so on. It goes away when the weather cools down. I am assuming it is the compression rod bushing that I have read so much about. The fact that its only during hot days kinda confuses me. Any input would be great.

Does it have stock upper control arm bushings, stock lower control arm bushings and/or stock c-rod bushings? Your problem is usually due to lack of grease on polyurethane bushings. Sounds like someone replaced the stockers (some or all) with poly (which is good), but didn't grease them well enough.
Silicone grease. Energy makes one called Formula 5. It's the most disgusting crap ever. You'll need brake cleaner to get it off your hands.
If they end up being polyurethane, do not use petroleum based grease.
A lot of the time poly will squeak and grunt because people use lithium grease which just can't hang. This sounds like it may be your problem.

I ask because mine makes the same noise, but only when the A/C is running.
I have tested this out on hot days by driving around without the A/C on and it does not make the sound.
A/C on and running for about 45 minutes and the noise shows up.
Thoughts?
mine was doing the same thing. isolated it to the front sway bar bushings. easy to drop the bolts and pull the bushings down and grease them around the sway bar real good and then bolt everything back up tight. took about 10 minutes to do both sides and squeak is gone so far (2 years)
