Exterior Mod Suggestions

Recently said goodbye to my 2001 525i and bought a 2007 G35 in Platinum Graphite Metallic, totally stock and in perfect condition. Here are pics of another user's car of the same model and color, mine looks identical to this one:

Here is what I want to do:
  • WALD Rear Skirt
  • WALD Front Spoiler
  • Lower it about 2.6 inches
  • Tint windows (very dark in the back and moderate in the front)
  • Change yellowish fog lights to clear/white
  • Change the courtesy door lights and license plate lights from yellowish to bright white LED

If there are any other simple and tasteful mods you guys would recommend for a V36 G35 sedan in this color, please give me suggestions! Also, I'm pretty sure the license plate and courtesy LED swap would be an easy DIY, if anyone knows where I can buy the right LEDs online and can post a good guide for replacing them, please share!

before any one tells you to begin your "transformation" with a can of plastidip, do those mods you mentioned. then go from there. the ones youre looking at doing will compliment it nicely

oh and spacers to bring the wheels out a bit more go hand in hand with a drop with stock wheels.
car looks clean

Check out diode dynamics for the best LEDs. I replaced every warm white bulb in my car with cool white and lots of great comments on it!

DRLs don't really fit well with the G35, so get outside opinions before you put a random bar of lights somewhere

Check this out for the interior LED's, did it on my G and it looks so much better at night. I couldn't get to the glove box light because one of the screws was stuck, but oh well.

You can paint the front grille black and add shark fin antenna, roof spoiler, trunk spoiler, quad exhaust, tint the tail lights ?
Just some ideas.

With daytime running lights, maybe you could go with something like mine ?

Skyline badge to top it off too, I like it

Question for you guys, what is the purpose of spacers?

I live in Australia, so mine is the JDM Nissan Skyline V36 350GT haha. I didn't change the badges.

I think spacers is a cheap way to make stock or aftermarket wheels with high offsets sticks out more/sits closer to the guards ? Lol

Not my car, but yeah it's a pretty nice color after waxing. As for plastidip, I'm not a fan anyways.

I prefer the rich red color of stock taillights on pretty much any car, especially if it contrasts off the paint nicely, like with the new BMWs.

I prefer the soft yellow light for the interior and the strong white light for exterior lighting like courtesy lights and license plate lights. Does anyone have guides just for those 2 swaps?

Shark fin antenna and a roof spoiler sound good. Maybe quad exhaust if it's not too expensive and doesn't undercut power. Question about the antenna though... would it just be a fake for the sake of the look or can you actually have a legit one installed? Not sure if it's connected to a feature that my car doesn't have or if it's just a stronger antenna than what it currently has?

Correct inexpensive way for your wheels to sit flush, preferably temporary while you save up for aftermarket wheels that sit like you want em to.

The antenna is fake, it's just there for the looks haha. I think our radio antenna is built-in on the rear window.

If you're just looking for replacing the license plate lights, those are in that guide i linked too. After unscrewing the license plate and its holder, open the bulb cover and just twist the bulb to release. Theres 2 of them. Then you can change the bulb quite easily, it will look much better after.

roof spoiler was my first mod, picked up a fairly cheap one on ebay and i honestly love the look.

after that i bought the OEM spoiler like jeremy's "skyline" and that really set the car off sincemy car is black painting the rims black for the whole black on black look was the way to go, get compliments on it daily.

Definitely wanto upgrade all your bulbs got mine from diode dynamics a vendor here and it just gives the car a different look at night believe me you wont be dissapointed
