I needed one of my TPMS sensors replaced on an urgent basis due to air leak and frozen stem. I went to my reputable "tire guy" and not my stealership service dept. They installed a REDI-sensor 7001-HP (for $65!) that I was told was compatible with my car and they "registered" the sensor with an OBD 3 unit.
Of course on my way home after about 12 miles the TPMS light illuminated and after a bit started to blink.

Is it learning the sensor or do I now have to bring it to a dealer to pay $50 the the 4 minutes it will take them to do it. Maybe if I bring it there for my next oil change tire rotation they'll give me a break on the reset.
It is what it is but I need to know.

Thanks to all
