Hey there members. Awhile back I started researching getting my Sport rims black chromed. I searched high and low, locally and out of state. I finally found a great outfit that offered an exchange program so I didn't have to go without a vehicle. They did a phenomenal job and I'm super happy with the results. I just wanted to share with anyone out the who may be looking to do the same.
The place that did mine is called La Wheel. Contact Allan or Steve if you want or need any information. allang@lawheel.com
Let me know what you think. Have a great weekend.
'07 Sport (auto) 116,000 and still going strong.
Fresh off a detail.
Close up.
The car looks pretty sick now. I can honestly say there are no other cars out there still that I see and think "Man, I want that." This car's styling was way ahead of its time and people still often ask me how old my car is. When I tell them, they usually say "Wow, that thing looks brand new!!"
Next I'd like to get the chrome accent door/window/trunk lid pieces modified. Still researching the best process. The rubber has weathered quite a bit and I'm worried that removing them may require new rubber pieces. Anyone have any ideas or experience modding the chrome accent pieces? I should say, I'm not interested in black chroming them with dupli-color "shadow" mainly because I did the grill and it's peeling a tad.
DigitalSol here is close to the finish you may be lookin for
Thanks for the comment above. To make sure I'm understanding, DigitalSolo did his window trim? On the outside? I searched his username, but only found a post on his interior window plate posting. Thanks again.

I mentioned him because he's been on the lookout for SSRs with the SBC finish. Yours is darker but he hasn't had any luck finding someone to refinish them somewhat similar to yours
