G35 or G37?

I have the chance to get an 07 G35S w/ about 60k miles for around $13k , 37's seem to run around $3500 more with similar or more mileage. So, I guess the question is a 37 40% "better"?
Good to know that the 2nd gens seem pretty solid. I know the interior & body stiffness seem to be a big step up from the 1st, based on my test drive.

IMO Go for the G37S. But I wouldn't pass up a mint 07/08 either. The big difference I notice is the transmission and the motor. The VQ37VHR seems a bit more refined then the VQ35HR. I am not sure why but it just does. Maybe due to the smoother 7spd over the 5spd and the VVEL system.
That being said either of them are fun to drive. And to be honest the performance difference between the two is so close you would barely notice if at all.

As for the 35 or 37, I was initially going for a '10-'11 G37S, but couldn't find one in good enough condition to justify the ~$22k price tag. I decided to broaden my search, and found that I prefer the 5-speed auto and the 3.5. The 3.7 is marginally more efficient (though you won't make the extra purchase cost back for a loooooong time), but the 7-speed hunted around a bit too much for my taste. I think the gauges look better in the 37s, but the center console is a bit nicer in the 35. Plus you can get a totally awesome compact flash card reader... and as with most pre-refresh cars, the original is a bit cleaner when it comes to looks. That said, the 37S sedans look pretty nice.
They're both solid cars though, and I'd just buy whatever is in the best condition and feels "right". I ended up buying an '07 S for about half of my original budget, mainly because it drove better than anything else I'd driven, including cars with a third the mileage. I also didn't have to deal with yet another annoying car dealership, but that's a different topic.

I like the G35s front and rear bumper style better, but it lacks the bumper foglight from G37S.
G35S is lighter but it doesn't have the better Akebono brakes from G37S and its a more refined car (less HNV)
I like the G35S 18" rims style better than G37S, but you can't put G35S rims on G37S without spacer to clear the brakes.
G37S got 7AT but I *think I heard* that G35S 5AT is a little more reliable. Doesn't matter if you opt for 6MT.
G37S should have other minor upgrade as well (different gauges, interior, backup sensors, etc)
I would go with your budget and get the car in better condition. G37S is obviously more expensive and a few thousand dollars is not a small amount per say.

I have an 08 G35s as it says in my name lol. It has 75k miles with the 6mt. Drives great even after a few bolt ons and pulls harder than a g37. Dont ask me why but stock to stock the g35 won. Anyways I drove a g37 for 2 weeks and didnt like the throttle response as much. Maybe it was just because it was the 5at. When it comes to comfort they are pretty much the same. I would go with the 35 because it cost quite a bit less and been great to me and many others apparently!

Thanks for the great comments so far.... Seems like going with which ever is in best condition for the money is the way to go. Even the 07 G35 appeared to be a lot more refined than my 05, NVH wise. Of course, interiorwise there's no comparision...
Haven't driven a G37 yet but they're quite a step up in price and they don't seem to be a lot quicker or have enough extra equipment to justify the premium.
