How much MPG do you get in the city?
Thats awesome bro!! i would expect it to have less mpg as it is sports edition
07 S auto i get 20mpg and floor it all the time (az) hot temps also help. I drive in ds mode about half the time also. The sport model has lowering gearing so off the line it makes it easier to get up to speed, just after 70mph the rpm's get really high. I tried to drive like a snail for a week and got 22-23, so hypermileing is pretty pointless.
Bad mpg
I dont see how these cars can vary so much in mpg?
i get 13-15 mpg 60/40hwy driving easy, no CELs , new plugs, no vacuum leaks, MAF just cleaned, clean air filter.
I dont get it.
Has anyone out there had this happen and resolved the issue---- found out what is the cure???

If everything is in proper working order, variations are going to mostly be from the driver. Performance tires can have a big impact (2-3 mpg) but this will be more applicable on highway driving, not city. I read a post from one person not long ago at another site and this person was asking when to shift gears (they had an automatic G35 and always drove in manual/DS mode !
). He stated he always shifted at around 4000-4500 rpm. Not when having fun or anything, always. I actually tried it on the way home that same day and it was downright stupid, annoying, and uncomfortable.
How are you measuring the MPG you get ? If you're using the car's computer, do it manually a few times to make sure the calculator isn't off. Do you know how to do it manually ? If you do, sorry for asking !
With the computer, do you reset it often enough ?
I don't drive like a grandma by any means and I get 19 mpg with primarily 'local' driving. That does include 45-55-60 mph roads - not interstate highway - on my daily commute. On the interstate, if I keep it around 70-75, I get 25-26 mpg. I've tested it going 55-60 with the cruise control for a 5-10 mile stretch and it will creep up to 27-28 mpg.

Not sure what mean by normal, conservative, and grandma mode, but something isn't right with your car, driving habits, etc.
I get 20 MPG no matter how or where I drive, although I don't think I've ever tried cruising at 65 for any long distances.... Every exhaust I've had (including the custom one with 3 mufflers I have now) drones like crazy on the highway in 6th up until 80 so gotta go fast!
