I noticed my AC will not start working immediate when i turn on the car. It takes awhile for the AC compressor to turn on. Usually I have to drive over 40-50 to get it going. I just did a road trip to vegas and the temp was around 115 degrees Fahrenheit but my car was reporting 124 degrees Fahrenheit. The AC just would not turn on, I had to turn the thermostat to 60 to get a little cold air. Figured it was freon so purchased a kit and filled the car. It started working better and producing colder air but sometimes the AC will still turn off if it was hot out. What could make this problem occur? Also I noticed a small belt squeak develop, its constant even though the AC is not on.

 

A freon evacuate and recharge fixed my problem. I guess also when temps are 115+ degrees outside, the car just has a hard time keeping a black car without tint cooled.
