Cold air intake

Hello people so I put in a intake in my g35 s but I notice that my engine bay gets real hot. So I know I'm getting some hot air into my engine. I also notice I that I have lost power.
Any suggestion.

first welcome.

second use the search button. this has been covered a ton of times.

on topic. intakes are only really for sound. they dont give any noticeable gains. heatsoak can be an issue with short ram intakes. go with the z tube (or other non metal tubing) and a stillen type intake. the stillen intake has shielding to prevent some heatsoak, and helps funnel fresh air into the intake.
