Hey guys!

I recently bought a 2007 G35s with a busted up trunk and purchased a new G35s trunk. I noticed it had a backup camera already installed on the trunk. Any tips or guides or even if i CAN install this camera to the operating system in the car currently? thanks!

 

Where would it go? Do you have one of the packages that has a screen to output the video?

The package i have does have an OEM on board monitor as all the 07 G35's do. My question is does this onboard monitor have the output portal to attach the camera?This year also has the RCA input port for video from a DVD player if that helps.

yes... all 06 G35 models up have a screen display. Im asking does the OEM center console have an input available even if its the base package model

There is a basic 3 RCA jack auxiliary input (L&R audio + composite video) located under the lid in the console cubby (of course, this is all in the owner manual)

. . . but that doesn't mean you won't have to handle the video with your own hardware somehow since it won't be built into a base model car.

 

Not quite right. All 07 and up sedans and 08 and up coupes have the screen.....
