quick story, so the other day I was getting water and happened to leave my car on whilst I refilled my jugged. while outside I heard a noise form the font end which can be described as a sprinkler going off. (it's not a clicking or ticking noise, it has a brief millisecond stop in between it coming in and out) I tried searching for it but to no avail.
when I returned home and popped the hood, I look for any loose hoses or connections, but I could not find any.

I friend suggested I turn off the a/c and see if the noise was audible. I did and the noise seemed to go away. another car friend seems to think its the tensioner.

Any thoughts.

Take it to a mechanic. It's likely not a problem, but you are making it one .
