how many miles is considered high mileage?

always liked the Gs, might be picking one up for some daily driving duties.

i m leaning towards the 2nd gen G sedans and i dont see too much topics on this, i know there's a bunch of threads on high mileage Gs on the first gen

so my questions are what is considered high mileage for 2nd gen G35s?

at what point do you stay away from getting a high mileage one?

i'll do some research on my own on this as well but what major maintenance items pops up after 100~120k miles?

I bought my 08 G35S brand new. I use it as my daily driver, and it has 170K miles. I personally would consider a car over 18K/year as high mileage. So I would consider mine high mileage. These 2nd gens are pretty reliable based on my experience and the engine has a reputation of being bulletproof. I haven't had any major maintenance pop up. The things I have done myself or at dealership I would consider as regular maintenance: oil changes, transmission drain/fills, power steering fluid changes, coolant change, replaced upper radiator hose twice, brake pads, tires, engine filters, cabin filters, spark plug change, throttle bottle cleaning, battery replacement, window wipers, and tires with balances. She still is going strong. Good luck.

Yeah, engines are pretty reliable; suspension is another story.

FWIW I have a 2007 G35x with 95,000 miles and have had Zero suspension issues. Still all original

It's like a handful of bushes that eventually get bad over time. Happens much quicker if you're lowered too. But at the end of the day, it's not a massive deal breaker. Your main ones are the compression rod bushings and lower control arm bushings and maybe the lower ball joints.

My first G was an 04 that I bought used with 140k on it. I put another 60k on it over about 6 years.

Currently driving an 07, which I bought with 109k on it. I'm at 128k now and love it. No major issues, other than the air conditioning, which hasn't been quite right since I bought the car.

Buy a G, you'll love it. Good luck!

Technically anything over 75k miles is considered "high miles". This link is to the service interval for a 2006, it will give you a good idea what items are replaced and when, mostly you just want to pay attention to schedule 1 & 2 items. Premium care is a routine check of basic stuff.

Bought mine brand new in December 07. 2008 sedan. Supercharger it, airlift, carbon fiber driveshaft, transgo kit and everything else. Had no problems except for the ones I caused. 88k right now and still running fine. Mostly going to pass it down to my kid when it's time for her to learn how to dive in 17 years. Lol

I'd define high mileage anything over 75k. I bought mine with 160k on it and did a full service on it. Besides the slight 5th gear grind and wind noise, no real driving issues so far so I'm crossing my fingers.

Now at 140K, original owner. In the past 1.5 years, replaced the rusted out stock y pipe, driver side lower control arm, stuck rear caliper, both driver and passenger side front wheel hub assemblies, failed a/c compressor. Unaddressed nags are a minor sunroof leak to footwell and trunk release harness which partially works, No "major major" repairs but it is starting to add up.
