Low RPM when Idling

Hi everyone, I am new here. I am from NZ. I found a problem with my 2008 Infiniti G35(Nissan Skyline 350gt). it has done around 82000 miles (132000KM). I bought the car from a dealer 2 weeks ago. Recently I found out my car shakes a little bit when idling. And the rpm is pretty low around 500rpm. I am thinking may be I need change my spark plug. If I step on the brake and press on the accelerator a little bit and let the engine speeds up to 600 rpm or above. Magically the shake will disappear.

What do you think of this problem? Is it a big deal? Any one happens to have the problem before?

Front and rear cameras, tire pressure for all four tires can display on screen, folding side view mir
Check your air filter. If it was purchased from an Infiniti dealer 2 weeks ago return and ask them to inspect it and give you a service and purchase history history.

both air filters are new. Most of NZ used cars are originally from Japan. Mine as well. I am the first owner in NZ and I can see the previous owner took a good care of this car. I purchased from a well knowned Import dealer. I will take it back to dealer when I have time. It is not a big shake, just when you grab the wheel you can feel it a bit. I put in some inject cleaner today. I will see if it can help.

Pull the spark plugs and inspect each one, you can learn "almost" everything you need to know about a motor from the oil and spark plugs.

Check the system for a vacuum leak, something might not be properly tightened on the intake tube.

You can also perform the pedal dance and do the idle relearn, use a timer, the second counts need to be EXACT.

It's also possible that they poured in a lot of snake oil to cover up issues the motor was having and you bought a lemon, definitely start by talking to the dealership, especially if they offered any kind of limited warranty.

Sounds like the throttle bodys need to be cleaned. If you do it be careful, as it may cause problems and you have to do a idle rel-learn procedure. If you are careful, then you should have any problems. I have cleaned them twice with no problems. I have an 08 with 172K miles. Good luck.

Thanks for your advice. I followed a YouTube video which shows how to do Idle Relearn. And now it feels much better. The engine remains 600rpm which should be as normal.

Thanks all for all the advice and time effort. Happy to find a good forum with really nice users.😌
