Exhaust leak and sulfer smell. Replacement?

I am the second owner of a 2008 G35xs. It has about 138k miles but it still runs strong. I started to develop an exhaust leak about 2 weeks ago and its starting to get worse. Before the leak started i was smelling sulfur on and off. My question is it better just to replace the exhaust and cats then to try to fix it. My heat shields are rotted away also. I personally think that i should repace due to the age. If i were to replace any suggestion with what brand, type ect. I dont want to spend a lot of money and i dont like the tin tuner sound. Its a daily driver and i will have kids in the car so nothing to loud. Was also thinking about high flow cats. Any thoughts?

From what you describe you need a complete system including converters.
Magnflow they'll have exactly what you need, they make a thick wall stainless system that's quiet enough so the kids can nap while you drive. They have quality converters too, that's where I get mine when needed...Gary

Yep that sulfur smell is the catalytic converter failing.

Is it worth it to purchase the high flow cats? It seems to be the cheaper option.

For the catalytic converters check out the ones by Fast Intentions, highly rated amongst the community and reasonably priced as well. Make sure you're looking for exhaust systems compatible with the AWD model, not sure if there is a difference or not between the RWD and X model G3 exhaust.

EDIT: Check out the vendors in the marketplace, they might have better prices than summit.
