Question What is this tool in the took kit used for?

Hi Everyone,

I was looking at the tool kit in the trunk. Everything there is pretty obvious except for this one tool! I'm assuming it's mentioned somewhere in the owners manual but I haven't found it yet and there doesn't seem to be any place that lists the tools supplied!

So, does anyone know what this one small tool is for?

What is this tool in my '07 G35 sedan for?

Thanks in advance!
Larry.

Not sure but it looks like you are missing the custom Zippo lighter that came in the empty space at the bottom. It was the super rare Infiniti branded Zippo LOL.

It’s a 10mm wrench, other side is a screwdriver.

So there's no specific use for it? I guess there are enough 10mm nuts and slotted screws on the car that they figured they'd include it? But not any other sized wrench (or an adjustable one) nor a Phillips screwdriver.

Thanks!
Larry.

AH HA! Your reply led me to the sort-of answer. The only mention of it I could find in the owners manual is on page 5-14 (274 in the PDF copy). They show using it for the "Shift lock release" where they refer to it as, "a suitable tool."

Use for wrench in tool kit.

I guess the 10mm wrench end is there just so that it looks more useful than it really is

Thanks!
Larry.

The 10MM wrench side can be used to remove your front license plate to access the tow bolt behind it.
